How I build a Philippines itinerary
The preview above is generated from real routes. These are the rules that structure them, and that I then apply by hand to your bespoke plan.
Length decides the island count
Two islands over 9 days, three over ten to sixteen days, four to five over three weeks. Every extra island costs about two usable days between travel, settling in and leaving.
Transfers are counted door-to-door
A one-hour domestic flight means five to seven real hours. A ferry between neighbouring islands, three to six hours. That is the figure the plan must use, not the carrier's timetable.
Season comes before destination
The most favourable window today runs from February to June, with March and April strongest. In September, October and November, boat trips are regularly cancelled: choose the region according to the month.
Hotels are booked last
Until the order of the stops and the connections are fixed, booking a hotel means locking in a constraint. It is the most common and most expensive mistake.
