L'Hebdo My Philippines — every week
L'Hebdo My Philippines No. 1 — 8 September 2026
A two-page issue published every week, readable in two minutes: one useful flight update, one destination worth your time and one itinerary tip.

This first issue of L'Hebdo My Philippines brings together a useful new connection in the Visayas, a volcanic island still off the mass-tourism radar and an essential reminder for building a realistic itinerary. Flight information changes: always check the schedule and the fare at the time of booking.
Cebu–Siquijor by direct flight with Sunlight Air
Sunlight Air now connects Cebu and Siquijor with a direct flight of roughly 55 minutes, an alternative to the Cebu–Bohol then Bohol–Siquijor ferry combination that easily costs half a day.
The airline's May 2026 schedule guide lists flights on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. Current booking listings show an indicative schedule of 10:00–10:55 from Cebu and 11:15–12:00 from Siquijor. Schedules vary by date and not every flight uses these exact times, so check before buying.
Promotional base fares can start at PHP 488 excluding taxes and fees, while the observed one-way average is around PHP 3,200 depending on date and availability. None of these figures is guaranteed.
Camiguin: how many nights?
Camiguin deserves 3 to 4 nights rather than a day trip: White Island, Katibawasan Falls, Ardent Hot Springs and the Old Volcano all sit within easy reach, and three or four nights let you see them without racing.
The island is reachable by air from Cebu in roughly 30 minutes, though the actual flight duration and operating days should be checked when booking. This is exactly the kind of stop that rewards slower travel: fewer transfers, more time on the ground.
Six islands in fifteen days: a bad idea
Six islands in fifteen days is technically possible, but every extra island means extra transfers: the ride to the port or airport, the wait, the crossing, the road to the hotel. You end up spending more time moving than on the beach.
Over 15 days I recommend 2 or 3 destinations maximum, usually 3 to 4 nights per stage, which leaves room for day trips, weather surprises and doing nothing at all.
The addresses shown on the back page
The back page features two addresses spotted for this issue: Basta Siargao in General Luna and Seda Central Bloc Cebu in Cebu City. They are observations and offers captured while preparing the issue, not price recommendations.
Hotel prices and offers change quickly: check them directly with the property before booking.
