Anda (Bohol)

Bohol's east coast, where the beaches are empty and the reef is intact.

Anda is the part of Bohol nobody markets on the front page, and that's exactly why I send couples and divers here after Panglao gets crowded. Same province, same short flight, but a two-hour drive across the island takes you to limestone cliffs, cave pools and a barrier reef that's in noticeably better shape than Panglao's.

I always pair Anda with Panglao rather than replace it — Panglao gives you the airport and the nightlife, Anda gives you the two days of total quiet that actually make a trip feel like a holiday.
